Parents are strongly encouraged and always welcome to play an active role within the Gardenview
community. Any time that parents can give of themselves is very appreciated, whether it's by joining a
committee, sitting on Governing Board, or volunteering at one of our many events.
There are many ways that parents can get involved:
-
Gardenview Home and School Association (GHSA): For all the latest on Gardenview's Home & School Association (GHSA) and activities, please go to ghsa.info
-
Governing Board: Elected parent representatives work in partnership with school staff and members of the community to make policy decisions for the benefit of our students in areas such as education services and community services, as outlined in the Province's Education Act.
-
Parent Mentoring Program: Parent mentors devote their time to promote literacy among our children. Parent mentors also help our children explore possible career orientations by sharing their expertise and experiences with them.
-
Volunteering: Volunteers are needed throughout the school year for various activities and events such as pizza/Dagwoods lunches, bake sales, book fairs, lice checks, Teacher Appreciation Week, etc.
