Music

The main objectives of the elementary Music programme are to:

  • Develop the child's appreciation for and an understanding of music.
  • Provide opportunities for the child to experience a variety of different types of music.
  • Awaken a sense of rhythm and motor skills.

Music is taught by a specialist in Kindergarten, Cycles I, II and III.

Gardenview Musicals

Musicals have become a tradition at Gardenview School. It has been the mission of the Home and School Association to provide students with a musical theatre experience.

Occurring every few years, the artistic team has helped students present highly successful productions such as "The Sound of Music", "Grease", “Thriller”, and "The Wizard of Oz". Students are selected through auditions, and spend months working on their acting, dancing and singing abilities on stage. Students are also involved in working behind the scenes to produce these wonderful musicals.
